Candace Cortiella is Director of The Advocacy Institute, a nonprofi t focused on improving the lives of people with learning disabilities through public policy and other initiatives. She also serves on the Professional Advisory Boards of the National Center for Learning Disabilities and Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities. Candace Cortiella is the mother of a young adult with learning disabilities, she lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
