Eleanor L. Higgins, Ph.D. is Director of Research at the Frostig Center in Pasadena, California. She received her doctoral degree in anthropology with a specialty in linguistics from the University of California, Riverside. She is currently conducting longitudinal research on persons with learning disabilities in the areas of assistive and instructional technology. Dr. Higgins has published numerous articles on technology for persons with learning disabilities and on the quantitative and qualitative findings of a twenty-year follow-up study. She is a fellow of the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities, and a frequent presenter at national and international conferences on learning disabilities.
